Anyone custom make an after cat y-pipe for dual cat cars?
Flowmaster makes one, but refuses to sell it by itself.
This custom design is using the Flowmaster Y-collector.
If you have done this, please let me know cost, SOTP improvement or any other info.
Thanks!

I used the flowmaster y collector on my car. My setup looks pretty much like your drawing. I installed SLP 1 3/4 headers for dual cats at the same time. The SLP pipes coming off the headers ended about 12" before the cats. So I had a shop bend some 2.5" inch pipe conecting them to both cats. From there they ran two 2.5" pipes back to the flowmaster y collector. Then into a 3" dynomax system with the 2 pipes on the left muffler. IM really happy with the job they did, it fit really well in the driveshaft tunnel too.
They put the y collector as far back as they could i only have a short piece of 3" pipe before it turns up over the axel.
The install was less then a 100.00.
The car did pull better over 4000 then before. I dont have any track or dyno numbers to say how much it helped yet. With the Edelbrock headers, stock y-pipe, and dynomax system on it. The car only made 306 rwhp and 419 rwt. I found out the reason for the low numbers later. When i drilled the steam holes for the heads. I drilled a couple to close to the bore and leaked coolant into a couple cylinders.
I hope to get closer to 350 rwh when I get the heads back on it.
