edelbrock headers cat to low help

edelbrock headers cat to low help

looking to solve this problem i have a 84 z28 i put a 350 in and with new header kit edel-6874 direct fit(which came with y pipe)and new cat this is the 4 bolt bolt up type everthing drop in perfect but the cat end up about 3" from the floor which is to low please let me know has anyone else had this problem i brought everthing direct fit which is expensive in order to avoid modification or custome exhaust.

i hear you i bought an random tech cat and a tandom tech cat back to finish it all off edelbrock headers same model as your and my y pipe does not hit the headers....so the only thing i can think of is get u and someone else under the car and loosen everything and try it again....that is what i am doing ..i will let u know what i come up with

if you try to bend your exaust into place you will more than likely end up with problems down the road. id take it to an exaust shop and have them cut and reweld it to fit right. shouldnt cost that much since youve already got the parts.
