Dual exhaust questions

This is on a 83 Z/28 with a 305 rebuilt with less then 10,000 miles, headers, 268ex cam, no computer, elederbrock carb and intake. Here in washington they will make you put cat on, but no emmison(sp) testing later. I would like to do this only once with the thought that later I would put a 350 or 327 in it.What size of pipe would you recommend and mufflers. Will I have a ground clearance probs? Single pipe split in the back or true dual. If you have any other input please speak up. Thanks as always

Single 3" with the duals at the back I think is supposed to support up to around 350 hp. I myself went with dual 2.5 inch though. There are some major things you have to take into consideration when trying to run true duals though. I would get under the car and look because there isnt a lot of room.
