What size headers for a mild 350?
What size headers for a mild 350?
Ok, I have a new Goodwrench 350 sitting out in my garage, and i'm debating what headers to use.
A few months ago I ordered the Edelbrock TES for a LG4 motor, so that's what I'm considering using (available, and already paid for). How well will they work on this 350? It's rated at about 239 hp with the log headers on.

The primaries are fine, but the y-pipe only has 2-1/4" at the cat. You would have been better off getting the HO or the later TPI style with 3" at the cat.
I'd try returning them and getting the better y-pipe if I were you. Latest CHP article "My Generation Camaro" made the same mistake, they just fixed the y-pipe and made it 3" (and they only have a 305 so far). Unless you're an exhaust expert, exchange would likely be the better route.
