Exhaust Cut-Out Placement Question
I want to get an exhaust cutout sometime soon. Now I have a straight pipe cat, so for sound reasons it really doesnt matter if it goes before the cat or after. Want I want to know is what is the performance difference between putting the cutout RIGHT after the pipes "y" together compared to putting it after the "y" and a bend and 2 feet of straight pipe? It would definetaly give me more ground clearence if I had the cutout after the cat, and it would make it easier to find a shop to weld it on. I personally think that the performance difference is probably not more then 4 HP. What do yall guys think?

i doubt you would even be able to repeatable measure the difference at all. When the exhaust i wide open, its gonna take alot more than a few slight bends to hurt flow. If your gonna open it right up it shouldnt matter where the exit is.
there shouldnt be ANY backpressure at all with the system open, and should be negligible with a good system closed too.
