I am looking to redo my exhaust completely on my 84' LG4 berlinetta. My big problem is my header choice, I am looking to spend about $200 or less (life span not too big of an issue, plan on replacing later). That is not a big problem in itself, but i am having problems finding a set that includes the y-pipe. This is a necessity to me. Any recommendations for headers with y-pipe included in my price range would be appreciated.

 

You can get a set of FlowTech shorties from Summit for about $85 for the headers and $97 for the Y-pipe. Non-emissions though, if that's a problem for you.

 

Mostly out of curiosity, how is the quality on these, and how about gains.

 

They're a plain steel header, nothing special or fancy about them. I've never had a stock LG4 so I can't tell you anything about gains. I put a set on my car when I was first putting it together. I needed something to replace the turbo manifolds on a low-compression 350. They were cheap and I'd heard they were the easiest to fit.
