Am I thinking right here?
Am I thinking right here?
Ok I have access to an exhuast pipe bending machine and was thinking that I"m going to run true dual 2.25" pipes instead of one 3". that would increase my flow correct? if i came off the headers collectors 3" to 2.25" and did 2.25" all the way back. please state your opinion. I know its going to be hard to fit but like I said I have access to a pipe bender.
thanks

Dual 2.25" has slightly more flow area than single 3", assuming relatively thin wall for each. If thicker wall, about the same.
Also assumes mandrel bends. If standard bending, then 3" would be better. Or, 2.5" dual.

Remember when you bend 3 inch the exhaust bender will reduce the volume of the pipe significantly depending on how many degrees you bend it. Other wise the volume is relatively close. You also have to consider your motor; if it's stock bigger isn't better.
