Need Help, Should I remove my converter or not??
I got a 87 Trans Am 350 TPI and my cat is ratteling bad and I either need to replace it with a high flow one or just remove it and put a pipe in it's place. I'm in Florida so there's no emmision checks here, but I've heard that if I remove the cat I'll lose power with the TPI, Is this true? Does it need the back pressure? What was anyones experince by removing the cat on a TPI engine? What was it with a high flow cat?I've already removed all the emissions crap off my car. Any suggestions would help. Thanks, Jason
