I just bought some second-hand (but unused) headers from a guy who bought them for his 92 Camaro 305 TBI. Will they fit on my 86 Trans Am 305 TPI? Are the AIR fittings and clearances the same, or can I not use them? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, especially since I am considering putting them on myself.

 

do you have any specs or part number brand name for the headers?... I didnt see any of that in your post....

 

OK, so this is what happens when you buy second-hand equipment(actually, third- or fourth-hand equipment). We THINK that they're Edelbrocks, so I went on their site, and the 92 TBI 305 headers use a 2 1/4" inlet. My TPI 305 is supposed to use a 3" inlet. While I need to get in there and measure before anything, is there any hope? and will i need to weld? Plus, there's still the problem of the EGR and AIR valves...thanks for any help
