another straight pipe question
another straight pipe question
my cat rattles like crazy, and i'm fed up with it. i would like to put a custom straight pipe in its place. i have a slightly mod'd 350. also, it has a 3" cat-back.
would putting a staight pipe in be a good or bad thing. any comments on torque, hp, sound, etc.

I had dual cats and removed them for straight pipes. I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator so you can raise it a little bit. If your engine is tuned right for it you won't lose any torque or horsepower (I can feel a debate coming on about now). Just make sure you do it right with no leaks, and be pleased with the deeper exhaust note!
