Im about to do the same thing and im getting Edelbrock TES. SLP are obviously the best and will outlast almost any othe brand but you better be willing to pay about 500 for the headers plus the installation kit. The TES headers are only alittle over 300 and they come with everything you need. But if you have the money go SLP.

1990 5.0 TBI
THIS SUMMER
K&N open element (flat base)
TES headers (1 5/8)
Catco converter (3")
Flowmaster 3" cat back
Richmond 3.73 Gear w/posi
FUTURE (within year)
670cfm TBI unit
Holley Pro-jection Intake Manifolds
Performance computer chip

Definitely the SLP 1 3/4". The Edelcrock's are too small and restrictive.

If youre running dual exhaust, why not go with the hooker super comps? They have 1 3/4 primaries Thats what im running on my exhaust and theyre a lot cheaper than TES and SLP

------------------
1987 GTA 355, carbureted, TFS heads(non G2), 6-speed, McLeod clutch, 11.3:1, dual 3" flowmaster 2-chamber exhaust with NO tailpipes, 98 z-28 wheels, soon to be replacing weak 10 bolt with 12-bolt...gettin tired of breakin axles....

...Whatever turns your tires.....

No longer getting dual exhaust damn muffler shop backed out at last sec said I'd have about 1" clearance between road and mufflers. So I'm no planing on going with a single 4" system from mufflex. Exhaust shops around my area are not willing to try to put on dual exhaust unless u use supertraps, glasspacks,or a bullet style muffler, and I don't like the sound of them.
seriously thinking bout super comps despite the non dual settup heard some good things bout them.

Man, that sucks about muffler shops...the lowest point of my whole system is 4" from the pavement. They obviously dont know what theyre doing. I would use the super comps...theyre a great set for the money.
