I agree.
My 'new' camaro had a hollowed out 'cat' and straight pipe ran out to the back in the factory 'dual' locations and sounded like total a-- (except at idle).
24hrs after owning the car I made a muffler to replace the hollowed out 'cat'.

save up and get it done right, get heades, high flow cat and quality catback, a grand later you will be happy with the gains.

If you want, do it both ways, kinda, get an exhaust system with a cutout.

well i was at partsource and i could get hooker headers for 150 bucks.. canadian... and i could get a hooker aero chamber muffler for 100.. but what i wanted was to get the hooker headers leading into 3 inch pipes to DUAL mufflers.. but i dont know what kind of mufflers i would get if i had this setup.. i want a muffler for around 100 dollars for both pipes.. or would i be better off just getting one like the stock one.
