How Much Exhaust is Really Needed?

I have a 91 Camaro RS with a 500+ HP 383 from my race car. Since the racecar is getting a new higher HP motor, I figured The RS would be fun with the 383. What exhaust would really be needed. I was thinking I could get away with a single "Mufflex" 4 inch system. I would love duals, but since this will be a toy car, I did not want to drop a ton of $$$$ in it.

Here is a HP/exhaust size chart use by Hooker and Dynomax.

HP------single----dual
200-300---3"------2.25"
300-400--3.5"-----2.5"
375-400---4"-------3"
450-550--4.5"-----3.5"
550-650---5"------3.5"
650-800------------4"
800-1000----------4.5"
1000+--------------5"

Hope that helps.
Why do most people with hot engines chock them with a single 3"????????
We'll never know, ignorance on the subject, I'd guess.
