Borla

I'm almost ready to get my new exhaust put on, either this weekend or next, just gotta get a little suspension work done first..

Originally, I was going to get an Edelbrock system put on, but then someone recommended Flowmasters....well...I've actually got a nice chunk of money right now, and have been looking a maybe getting a Borla stainless steel system (quad) put on there.

My car is a 1990 IROC-Z 305..does Borla make a kit for this car? I've heard a Borla kit on a 94 Z28, and it sounds AWESOME!!!

I don't have headers on my car, so I'm wondering will it still sound good? I dunno if the 94 Z28 had headers on it or not....

I looked up the kit, and it costs $800, plus installation, should cost me around $1000 to get the whole system on there...

What do you all think?

WOW, I dunno where I saw the $800 at, pretty sure it was the Borla website...

Glad you guys showed me those other options! Now I'll save $200+

Thanks!

Just wondering if it will still sound kick-*** on my car, I've got a stock 305 TPI engine...

I'm thinking about getting headers on there down the road too, but I want to get the exhaust first...

To tell you the truth I really didn't like the sound of mine when I first got it, with everything else stock and a 350 tpi. My old flowmaster sounded better and louder. When I put on headers it was a whole different story. Still not loud enough though... for me at least.

i don't know what the big deal is with borla!? everybody says its so great. all it is is an over priced straight pipe. nobody ever uses any restricter plates. meaning nothing goes throught the muffler. it loud, but a cut out can do that too, but for 20 bucks! i always had a flowmaster 80 series ive never been disapointed. waycheaper too.
