anyone else upset with their 40 series flowmaster? I AM!

i just got a dynomax high flow cat, 3" intermediate pipe, 40 series flowmaster muffler and dual 3" tips put on my car and it isnt even that much louder than stock.does it sound louder over time and just need time to break in or something. i hope so because i had a 80 series on a v6 firebird and it seemed louder than this.

I think your cat may need worked in more. The Flowmaster has nothing that will affect sound over time. I mean there is nothing to burn out like glasspacks.

my 80 series got louder over time so your 40 series might too. The sound of the 40 series in my jeep never changed though.

I don't know, man. Just put a 40 series on my car with a 3" connecting pipe and the thing is alot louder than stock. As you can see from my name, we've got the same motor. Over tha past four days it has gotten louder though. Most likely it's the cat.
