i'm new to my firebird but i was wondering how this exhaust set up would sound like. it's a V6 so there arent any headers i could get. so from the exhaust manifold, 2 individual 2.5" pipes, then the cats, then straight back from there? i know some cars sound bad a ss and some sound terrible with this set up. lemme know guys

i belive that someone on the V6 board is or was making them for people who wanted them... go do a search in there.. and it sounds like u wana make a true dual exhaust for the car. there have been plenty of members on here that have done it.. it would be the same set up as ur 6cyl... the only thing is the pipes coming off the manifolds thing... im tryin to get a good idea on how you are gunna do that... like a y pipe with dual cats? but i would look around for dual exhaust set ups. they will give u a good idea what to do

 

Dual 2.5'' would be overkill for that car, and you might suffer. Even duals I would think would be a waste, especially with stock manifolds.

Maybe look into a dynomax cat-back that is 2.5''.
