Your dual exhaust setup

Ok, I really want a dual exhaust setup for my car but I want to know what everyone else is using and the results they have had and if the setup I was thinking is possible or what kind of problems I might have.

Ok SLP 1 3/4" headers to 2.5" high flow cats to Borla Mufflers out to borla dual square angle cut intercooled tips.

Ok so let me know what you guys runa dn what you think of what I have planned, and wether it will work if it is will cause to many problems.

you can do it but it's all from scratch and possible problem with ground clearance. I did it with my firebird. I have a new tool now "a blue tipped wrench" on the other hand, about the largest pipe "down the shaft of the car can be about 3"dia. and spliting it at the rear. or do the easy way SIDE PIPES! now those are cool

I have Hooker Super Comp longtubes(which were a PITA to install) going straight into 3
" pipes to dual 1-chamber Flowmaster mufflers. Each muffler has about a 6" long tube welded to the end and turned down about 40*. The exhaust exits right in front of the rear axle. The pipes are straight back from the headers-no bends or turns. There is a slight indention on the top of each pipe where it goes under the tranny mount brace. Even snugged up against the floorpan, you still have to be careful due to the lack of clearance. With my car lowered about 1 3/4", I have about 3 3/4 to 4" of clearance from the bottom of the mufflers to the ground.
The only possible problem I see with your set-up is the mufflers. You will need to get the smallest possible. The 1-chamber Flowmasters would probably work the best. Man,this set-up sounds awesome.

I really don't know why every1 is so crazy for duals, if they don't have the kind of power that needs them also. Are they cool?? Yeah, but single exhaust works really good though.

I mean, I've heard some single exhaust setups that sound better than dual cars, and much better than any M*****g. Do I think our cars should have had them stock?? Probably, just to say, "yeah it has dual exhaust," but they are really not needed unless u are making some Really good power and running some Really good times, and single exhaust can do that just fine also. Its cool if u want to do it, its even cooler when there are posts of dudes getting it and it comes right with no BS, letting others know that it can be put on a Third Gen with good results. I just can't see why when single is a good setup for performance and sound too.

Just curious, Flowmaster makes a number of 1 chamber mufflers in a variety of sizes and configurations. I've got the same setup in mind but I'm probably going to mock everything up with PVC pipe and cardboard before I start welding.
