Dual Exhaust and Interior Heat

Want to put dual exhaust on my car. I Found a shop that will do it WITHOUT CATS! I saw a 3rd gen car they did it was flawless. BUT can it be done with a tourque arm? The car i saw had south side machine ladders and a 9 inch. They used hooker full length super comps. What is available to eliminate the torque arm? Also how do I keep the floor temp of my car below 1000 Deg. After i installed my 355 with cheap shorty headers and a factory y-pipe system you can't stand to drive it.

Basically the same motor as you, and I still have torque arm. Im running dual 3". Junk that factory exhaust its choking the heck out of that motor. Get hooker super comps and have your exh. shop do a 3" system for you. Any good shop would be able to look underneath and see where it is possible to run them. Mine basically are straight back, crushed a little to clear the x-member, and go to each side of the driveshaft. Mufflers are just in front of the axle tubes. Ive gotta warn you though...not much ground clearance...4" is my lowest spot. Also, do you have to worry about emissions?

...Whatever turns your tires.....

No I dont have to worry about emissions great it is the best part about south dakota. I just installed SLP 1 3/4 headers and flowmaster 3 inch exhaust not done yet need to have the exhaust and y pipe connected at a shop. My angle plugs heads are a big problem dont ever get them the plugs dont clear the headers. Gonna try shorty plugs and denting the tubes, pretty dissapointed. Should I worry the the y pipe is tight against my 7 quart pan????? Thanks

I ripped out my interior and installed a layer of Dynamat for my sound system.I noticed that the interior didn't get quite as warm as it did before.
