Power steering bracket w/ headers
Power steering bracket w/ headers
Just installed Heddman longtubes with a 3 inch catback and a 40 series flowmaster on my 85 tpi trans am. It sounds great, but its really hard to steer because i couldnt hook up my stock bracket that usually mounts on the stock exhaust manifold. so how should i mont the extra mounting bracket?
Thanks Curtis

two answers here...both are relatively cheap (sub $20), the first one is an ac delete pwr steering bracket straight from gm, this only works if you dont have ac or get rid of your ac. second option is a header friendly ac bracket. both of these brackets involve ac in one way due to the fact that your pwr steering pump is in part mounted to the ac bracket.

Go get some 3/8 inside diameter pipe from a hardware store and cut yourself a spacer or two.
I just installed headers on my 400 with all working A/C and P/S brackets.
