well topic says it all pretty much. just wondering on the most ideal location to install the bung on the exhaust. The guy before me decided to install an exhaust w/o a sensor so the car will idle but thats about it. Has headers.

 

i just welded mine yesterday on my hooker super comps. i put it at the collector. right after where all 4 pipes meet into one on the header. so the sensor can take the reading from the whole of the drivers side exhaust. just seemed like the most logical spot to me...and that is where i have always seen them.

thanks alot, umm by any chance you you know of a simple way to locate the wire for the o2 sensor, so much convaluted tubing with connectors and wires hanging out of it that i cant seem to find it. Tried usin the haynes elec. schematics but it didnt quite work out too well.

 

well....its an 87 maf tpi right? so i think it should be similar to mine. it should come out of the harness somewhere near the distibutor wires (i think.. i will check later) and it should be a single pin connector. maybe about 2" long and a locking clip on it.it may have been cut, or stuck into the wire loom stuff. i am not positive but i think itis near dist.

Ummm, i dunno this is the closest thing i could find on the Drivers side but it doesnt look like an o2 sensor wire to me....photopoint sucks, dammit now they wanna charge my *** .

i am allmost positive that is for your oil pressure switch on the back of the intake.
i will get pics on tonite around 12 or so e.s.t.
