I want to add headers to my 92 305 TBI. but everyone I talked with said there wasn't much gain from shorty headers. I had full headers on my 70 1/2 Z-28 and they were great. What type would work well with this TBI engine? Don't care if they are emission ready or not.

Shorty headers give you a GREAT gain and if long tubes are better then it would only be by a few hp.

Besides, making those long tubes fit in a 3rd gen is no mean feat. That's why I'd guess the vast majority of the folks on this forum use shorties.
