Good set of headers?
Good set of headers?
I was trying to put my stock exhaust manifolds from my 305 back on my 350 that I put in my Trans Am last week. When I did this, the driver side bolt holes lined up, but the passenger side bolt holes didn't. Well actually all of them did except the last bolt hole. I guess 305's have a different bolt up pattern than 350's do. Does anyone know where I can get a cheap set of headers that might hook up to the existing pipes without modification. I don't want to spend that much money because we have a 402 big block we are going to put in it next March. Any help?

i've heard that summit brand shorty headers are only 80-85, but you need a 110 y pipe. this is the cheapest i've heard of. the headers are made by Flowtech, but cost 25 less. the part # isn't listed in the summit mag, but you might want to call them. And as for your manifolds not fitting, different years of heads had one bolt hole that was different. Have you ever heard of a drill and tap????
I can't drill and tap a new hole. The hole where the bolt should go through is directly in line with one of the exhaust pipes. That would mean I would have to drill through the exhaust manifold itself. That would defeat the purpose.
