anyone used pacesetter headers???
anyone used pacesetter headers???
i'm looking at a set of pacesetters, becuse they are relatively cheap with ceramic coating and come with a y pipe. I would like opinions on quality, performance, ease of intallation etc. any advice is greatly appreciated.

You get what you pay for. I bought a Pacesetter exhaust for my 240SX, what crap. It fit but the hangers were backwards and it's just not that good. I'm running SLP headers on my camaro, expensive yes, but the quality is second to none. Fully welded inside and out, thick flanges, and stainless steel. Should have had them coated but they still will never rust or crack at the flange. It's worth the money right there.

JC Whitney, right?
I tried to find out the size of the y-pipe at the cat, writing to both JCW & Pacesetter. Never heard from either of them. So, ordered the Hookers from Summit instead (during the discount they offered us
). I knew they were 1-5/8" primaries, 2-1/2 downpipes, 3" at cat. And, they are Hookers.
The primaries of the Pacesetters are 1-1/2", which is a bit on the small side, but probably okay for a mild 305.
Sorry, still no hands-on info, but that's what my research indicated.

I was wondering the same thing, but i've decided to just use those non-AIR headers you can get for like $99 and then buy the y-pipe which costs about the same. I forget what brand they are, but i know one person who got them and they seem ok.
He did run into a problem though, the y pipe won't work. He has some hue-jass oil pan with a big square reservoir on it and the y-pipe won't snake through it the right way. Totally off topic but you never know who's reading.
