You need shorty plugs from Accel or even some Bosch plugs are a bit shorter. Autozone has them.

I had to make a short 5/8" plug socket to work with some of my plugs. Also, you can use the boxed side of your 5/8" wrench on the plugs too. Plugs don't need to be extremely tight, just snug.

Worse case will be to loosen headers and install plugs.

im having the same problem with the spark plugs im not sure what kind of headers i have on, they were on when i bought it but hooker header sound familiar. Anyway you said you could loosen the headers up have you tried that? my friend said it probably wouldn't work but he don't have a car so id trust you guys more then him,so i called an autoshop to put the plugs in the they said it was going to be about 300-400 and i dont have that kind of money so you think they would pull back far enough to get them in?

If most or ALL your spark plugs are blocked from being installed, I'd rethink the use of those headers. If one or two are blocked, then you can probably simply loosen your headers enough to get the plugs installed. You can dimple the headers too or get shorty Accell plugs as well. If you do this use a plug that will last a while.

I have one plug where I had to make my own super shorty plug for my AFR heads and Hooker SC/LT headers. I'll do that for one plug, but not all 8.

Hope this helps a bit.....
