Hey everyone! I'm new here, I'm 16, and I just got my first car (Camaro!!) so please go easy on me. I'm looking to upgrade the exhaust system- but I need your help with choosing the correct setup. I have an '83 Camaro Berlinetta, 5.0l 4bbl. I was wondering that if I got a 2.5 inch dual exhaust with headers and a high-flow cat, would it fit with ground clearance? I was also wondering- does it have 2 1/4 inch pipes now? What type of muffler should I get? Should I bother with the Cat? I know this is alot to ask, but I need help! I'm running on a pretty slim budget- so any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

 

if you're really on a budget, you might want to look for an even cheaper catback like dynomax, then you can always change the muffler if you want, and it's still cheaper.
i have a 84 berlinetta- does yours have the star wars interior? any weird options you don't understand yet? I've had my car three months now and the options still trip me out. Where are you from? Any questions feel free to email me.

I'd get a Borla its something like 559 bucks from jegs or summit I forget..or hooker. I had no money at the time I was looking into my exhaust so I just got an 80 series flowmaster..sounds nice I'm looking into getting a bigger intermediate pipe and headers if I'm going to keep my car for another summer and I believe your pipes are 2 1/4
