Exhaust Tips

Do tips change the pitch/tone of the exhaust? 4th gens sound great, do the tips help them sound meaner. Or are exhaust tips just for show? Which tips help out the best in regards to sound?

tips change the sound. Megphone style will make exaust louder.

I had 93+ Z28 tips on my 1991 RS TBI and they sounded awesome, you could really tell a difference in tone when I took them off to sell it. Also just use 93+ tailpipes for a slip fit.
