Weird Exaust problem (I think)
Just bought a v6 third gen for 50$, it's a 5 speed and it looks like a Firefly would kill me of a start.... for some reason the car is really really under power, i can't go faster then 90 km/h ... and I don't know why but if I run it for a little while the cathalic converter will be red as a cherry ... what the f**k is that ??? clutch seems alright and motor seems alright. the engine is shaking alot when it's on idle ... what shall I do ???

Also if the cat is glowing the car could be running lean, if I remember correctly.

running lean? no i always figured it was too rich and the gas that did not burn in the cylinders burned in the exhaust which can cause popping sounds and turn headers and stuff cherry red. also due to a sticky valve or way off timeing

What ever the problem is you've go raw fuel
in the exhaust and the cat is trying to burn it off. Look to ignition first
Timing, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil etc.
after that check the fuel system. The cat will fail if you don't correct the problems soon.
