has anyone tried cutting out the floorpan where the rear seats are, running 2 pipes, one down each side of the driveshaft, around the tranny crossmember, with a 90 degree bend into the flowmaster where the rear seat wells used to be, and exiting right in front of the rear tire???? I think I can make it work, I was just looking for some re-assurance before i start cutting!!

you can do it, but you will lose your back seat. I took out my back seat to have a look (I had the same idea. I found that if I cut the hump and invert it to give me the space for the muffler, there is not enough head room to sit in the back seat.

If no one rides back there, go for it. No one rides in my back seat, but I may need it, I don't know.

 

It would be a better idea to cut out some of the rear storage area so you can run 2 mufflers if nront of the bumper if you're hell bent on duals. That way you can still have 4 people in the car. Or run some round dynomax bullet muffler back there. Then you won't need to cut anything.
