I am thinking of getting a cat-back this week (before wednesday when the coupon expires
) and I have decided to get the dynomax one. Whats everyone think of this, is there a better choice out there for the money?

It's hard to beat for the money, but it doesn't sound a whole lot different than stock. However, it fits nicely and makes a good replacement, and sounds pretty good without being obnoxious when you cut out the cats.

LOL! Someone finally noticed it!!! Naw, I only weigh 250 (not in kg either)
.
In all seriousness, I've never taken it to the track but I felt like I should put something there. Plus, at least someone thought it was funny

Hi Have the Dynomax Ultra Flo SS Cat-back, and it does sound much better than stock. A much deeper tone, especialy once the car is warmed up and idled down. and does not have that hollow gargle sound like the stock system had. plus one thing I like is when you accelerate hard, and let off the gas, it does not have the popping and snapping sound like other systems. I really like it.

For the money, it's like a sore d-i-c-k . You can't beat it!!!
I got mine about 1yr ago, and always read on here people saying that it'll get louder. I didn't believe them at first, but now I do. It got louder. Not anoying or anything. But I think it also has a lower pitch rumble now.
I like mine a lot. For the money, you still get mandrel bends and it flows better than stock.
May I just warn you that if you're putting it on yourself, that you must lift the car VERY HIGH. The pipe that goes from the cat to the muffler is one piece. It's a real bear to get it over the axle. Oh yea, that reminds me, don't jack the car up by the axle. It needs to hang down as far as possible. We even had to unbolt the rear end from the car to get it to drop more.
Or you could just do what I should've done. Cut the pipe with a pipe cutter, and use a coupling to join the two parts back together.
Do that. It'll be MUCH easier.

I went from SLP same side outlets to the the Dynomax #17495 system. It is a very good sounding system just below the volume of my SLP. Im running a larger y-pipe, catco cat and this system. The price is great too, low priced high performance. It's only cheap because it doesn't use any of the gimmicks of other mufflers.
It's not too loud, but coupled with headers and a test pipe, DAMN! It roars!
