Not that its a problem anymore, but i purchased a pair of random technology cats for my 91 Z. The guy up at midas said that the inlet was too small on them, 2-1/4, and my pipes were 2-1/2. Now I was told these are a direct replacement cat. Has anyone had this happen? or did i get stuck with the shorter straw.

 

He's full of it! Your pipes are 2 1/4" (unless you have a custom y-pipe).

 

the random tech cats are suppose to be direct replacements thats the same cats thirdgen resource used on their 92 formula, they didnt mention any problems..
