Longtube Y-pipe drawing
I'm thinking of doing single exaust with Hooker LT 2210.
would this be possible?
making the y go foward the stock location before the tranny crossmember.
Else i'll have to check about making the exaust follow the driveshaft... 1 pipe could fit good for ground clearence ...
but i wanted to add a t56 that why i'd like to do it like the drawing.

If you're going to go to the trouble of putting long tubes on, why would you restrict your exhaust with a bunch of 90 degree (or worse) bends to retain a stock cat?

I was thinking a big 3" Y that drop into a 4" collector, then the Ramdom Tech 4" CAT... so on the 4" pipes after that.
It's juste because the exaust used to go under the passenger side & that where Space is... I heard so much ppl with low ground clearance...
Otherwise i'll be looking for a setup, like the Mufflex Ypipe (but would make my own), 1 pipe would clear better... being a 4" would'nt affect power... (i'll be changing this engine for sure)
I'll be keeping my CAT! even if we dont have inspection here... but if the car gets attention, we can get pulled over and they do the visual inspection on the street... cats is important ...

you do realize the longtubes end way behind where they are drawn. They end just about AT the crossmember........so I doubt you'll beable to put the cat in the stock location or even close....however.....i THINK (i hope as well since this is what i want to do) you can still squeeze in a cat somewhere along where the ipipe goes stock....however Ive heard that the cats should be as close to the engine as possible. I was considering have 2 cats at each header connected right at the collector...and then running a ypipe down and to the stock ipipe location....dont know if there is room though.....and it would be kinda pricey buying two cats.

Yes, that will work if you DO NOT want any ground clearance at all.
NO, that won't work if you do want ground clearance.
... the place where you have the y-pipe going off to the passenger side means that it would have to jump the frame rail. Jumping the frame rail will give you very little ground clearance. I think that you are under the assumption that you can use the stock routing which jumps over to the passenger side BEFORE the frame rail. Well, you can't do that because the long tubes dump after the frame rail has started.
