SLP Loudmouth

I've heard so much about this exhaust set up, and ive got a few questions about it. Since i will be ditching my exhaust manifolds soon and going with headers (probably slp), im gonna be changing my current exhaust set up. right now im running my stock pipes and i have a catco cat going to a flowmaster 80 series. i would like to go to 3 inch pipes with no cat, headers and possibly this slp loudmouth. How expensive is it? is it just a cat back system, or are there just the loudmouth mufflers? are they chambered? would it be two on the left? would it this set up be really loud or what? i wanna let my camaro breath more then anything, i wanna have it grumble and lope like mad at idle, as long as it sounds rediculously loud and aggressive at idle and wot im happy.

only muffler is that small resonator. You might want to keep the cat with this one. It should be plenty loud.

LOUD, and what would raspy mean? It is like haveing a muscle car, it sounds hella better than flowmaster IMO, but I don't wanna modify it to fit a 3rd gen, so I didn't get it.

Well to me, the classic muscle car sound is flowmaster.

Maybe at idle, but the LM is a *MONSTER* at WOT. Put it this way, I just bought 330$ flowmaster Saturday. If they came out with LM for my 3rd gen today, as soon as I had the money I'd be buying it to replace the flowmaster. It sounds THAT awesome.

I'd like to hear that on an L98, a sound file or something although I'd probably still like Flowmaster better.

why would you need to modify it to fit a third gen? i thought it was for a third gen.....i really want a different exhaust, cuz when i get headers im gonna dump the 80 series flow and get something without all the glasspack popping stuff.

Yea, some guy at my college has a firehawk with a loudmouth also....i almost cream my pants everytime i hear it. Its unbelievable. I'm quite curious how much it would cost to install one of them. How much does the system cost again? Just curious...

Ok, so it is loud, very loud...we have established that.

Can anyone describe the sound of it to me?

Does it still have that tell-tale y-pipe/single exhaust sound? Is the sound low an deep, loud and raspy, tinny...what?

It is *LOUD*, raspy I guess you could say, gurgly, and like 1991camaroRS said, it makes you want to cream your pants when you hear it. At WOT it sounds like those dragsters IMO

ok here is a website of many different mufflers on camaros and firebirds.... the .mp3 files sound much better but it gives you an idea of what borla, slp, and flowmasters sound like.... http://www.geocities.com/hpfiend/sounds.html

Ok, another question then. Since we're all still on the topic of loudness, i'm running no muffler right now and i feel my car is fairly loud. Now i'm sure most of you know what one of our cars sounds like w/ no muffler so heres the question: is the slp system louder then no muffler? Cause if it is i'm definately going to be emailing slp to see if a system would fit on my car, cause i cant get the sound of that firebird out of my head

Run true duals on a '76. You have plenty of room to do so.

Why can't there ever be sound files of L98's with different setups. I like the way they sound so much better.

IMO, the best sounding out of those I listened to there were the Flowmaster on the LT1 and the SLP on the LT1.
