are the 4th gen tailpipes straight,and if so would they bolt right onto my 91 RS?i just bought some hooker dual outlet tips,but cant put them on the tailpipes i have now cause of that stupid downturn they have.and i dont feel like spending the $$$ to get custom tips bent for me unless i really have to,so i was wondering if the 4th gen pipes would bolt right on so i could put my tips on.thanks.

You could just cut the tailpipes off at the muffler, angle them down more, weld them back on, then cut off the angled portion, and weld the tips to that part. That's basically how I had mine done (except the catback was new, not already welded together). If the Hooker tips are anywhere near as long as my tips are, there's plenty of room to adjust how far back you want them to stick out. I wish mine were a little shorter so they didn't stick out at all. I'll probably fix that someday, but it's not a big deal, so...

 

I used pipes from a '99z but they were a little short. The shop put extensions on. The '99z28 pipe had a 2.2" outer diameter. You're better off with 2.5" pipe
