Which would you go with on a lt1 for exhaust. I like the look of the hooker but never heard it before.

Hooker has been around longer than almost any other header manufacturer, about 1964 if I recall correctly.

They are top quality.

It seems alot of 4th gen owners say go with slp loudmouth, but it gets into the area of borla prices. The hooker sure do look nice.

I love the sound of my Hooker especially when she screams . There is a sound clip in a post somewhere.

flowmaster is nice, not an obnoxious sound until you let it rip then it really shows through. of course that was on a 94 anniversary with the cats.

i have a flowmaster muffler with headers, and hollow cat. it is pretty loud. not a idle but above 1500rpm, it absolutely howls. my buddy has hooker cat back with stock manifolds, and stock cat. his car is nice at idle, and part throttle, but at WOT it sounds great. it is just that classic muscle car burble, i really like both. i think i like the flowmaster better on mine because it sounds mean, as compared to the classic sound of the hooker

Well now it seems I'm gonna go with the slp loudmouth since it's got a good special on it and it's stainless steel. I like this company also since they work with firebirds

Tell us how much better your car performs. Tell us how it sounds, maybe try to post a sound clip.

there is absolutely no proof that flowmaster outperforms the rest. In fact, alot of evidence points towards the opposite of that.

I've heard the same. I believe Hooker is rated among the best as flow goes.
