Headers/Y-Pipe Vs. Kickout Oilpans

I'm getting ready for my first "basic mods" on my new (to me ) IROC. So headers it is. I'm looing at all the companies that make a "shorty" w/y-pipe type headers Edelbrock, Headman, Hooker, etc...

I'm also working on a small block and would like to put in a Moroso, Miloden, Hamburgers 7 Qt. Kickout type oilpan.

So, my question already! Will any of the above headers work with a kickout oilpan? Or would I just be better off looking at some equal length shroty headers by say Edelbrock and get custom piping down to a Flowmaster Y-Pipe?

Note: As far as I can tell, I need to use shorties due to my car having 5he T-5 tranny. I don't think I can use long tubes 'cuz of the clutch linkage. Oh well...

These headers will not work with a kickout oil pan.I would recommend getting the Moroso 6 quart pan #20180 for third gens.It is deeper than stock to hold more oil but can be used with any readily availably headers for our cars.I currently have this oil pan on my Z with SLP headers with minor clearance issues. It is tight where the y pipe crosses over between the oil pan and crossmember, but it fits with no major fabrication. The way headers route on our cars will lead them to hit the kickout portion of the pan.

But wouldn't I run into ground clearance issues with a deeper pan. I plan on using Eibach springs at some point in this cars future. I don't think a Kickout pan goes deeper than stock unless I'm mistaken... it happens you know

I have lowered my Z with Hotchkis springs(1") and never had a problem with my deep pan.Yes it is depper than stock but it still does not hang below the suspension crossmember,it is about even.It will not be an issue, you will hit the crossmember before you hit the pan.
