oiling is a problem!!
oiling is a problem!!
i was wondering how can you tell if your oil pump is sucking the oil pan dry??? i just finished the mods in my signature and now my engine runs hot, has a wierd unexpalinable smell, and only hols 30psi on the highway!! and at idle it holds a cool 10psi!! i have a stock oilpan and a melling high volume, high pressure pump and im cooling the engine witha 31"x19" griffin dual 1" core all-aluminum radiator! the engine has been tested for fuel pressure (its not
leaning out at high rpms!!) also the total igintion timing is 36 degrees. so you guys think its rinning dry??? im also running 10w30 wieght oil(castrol gtx)convental oil. the engine has 16" of vacuum,no leaks in the oilpan or gasket.

there could possibly be a plug somewhere in the oil passages, blocking the oil somewhat and leaving you with limited pressure? have you checked the oil level with the engine running? are you sure you have enough oil in it? as for fuel, is it the stock unit? and do you think the fuel filter is plugged, not letting enough fuel flow at high rpm's, but will let it flow enough at lower ranges?
