3" all the way back? (single cat exhaust)
I've looked through a bunch of old posts, but I'm still not sure I know what my options are...
I want to end up with a 3" exhaust from Y-pipe back (if you think this is a bad idea b/c of smaller being better for backpressure or something, let me know, b/c I'm not an expert and I'm curious to learn) I know I'm going to get a Hooker catback. I've found 3" hiflow cats (I think I'll get the Catco one). BUT, I get the impression that the only headers that come with a Y-pipe that goes 3" to the cat are the super-expensive SLPs. The Edelbrocks and Hedmans look like they're 2 1/4. I'm not sure about Hooker (do they even come with a Y-pipe?).
Have any of you single-exhaust guys found any header options to SLP? Or will I just have to decide between paying out the *** for SLPs and using a 2 1/4" to the cat (not the end of the world)? Thx for your advice...

SLP, Headman, Hooker, and Edelbrock all have headers that have the Y pipe going to a 3" cat. The pipes that lead to the 3" can be different though. SLP might have dual 2.25" to single 3". Edelbrock has a version that has 2.25" to a 2.5" cat as well for weaker 305s.
