Hooker Cat-back get louder?
It gets a little louder over time. I can only tell because I can hear it more at a idle than when I first got it. I dont have a cat though. why do u want it louder? hooker sounds sweet as it is.(music to my ears)

When I first got mine put on it seemed quiet to me. The previous owner of the car was running straight pipes with no mufflers (not to loud but a horrible custom job). After awhile I notice it got a little louder and almost returned to the sound of my old exhaust. It is pleasing though not not to loud or noisy. So yes it will break in and get a little louder. Just ditch the tips because they look good for about 3 weeks.

wel with my original exuast that was one it had the good old pancake cat. which is a muffler its self alone. but when i took that off before the hooker went on, it was loud as hell and so i replaced the cat with a catco hi flow 3in/out and then ran the rest of the hooker exuast and i have to say it sounds loud at idle and louder when u get on it. so like if it does get louder with time i cant wait but right now it sound great.

Mine was almost as quiet as stock exhaust but now after a few months it got louder. Hooker says the sound doesnt change over time but everyone who knows me agrees my car got a lot louder over time.
