red hot manifold???
red hot manifold???
i just rebuilt the top half of my camaros engine. (its a 2.8 v6) and i finally got it all together the other day. when i went to make sure everythign was in working order the engine wasnt able to push more than 20 mph and very poorly at that, and upon opening the when i got it back to the driveway i noticed that my exhuast manifolds were cherry red from heat. does anyone know why they would be overheating so much

Do you have a cat? Was it glowing? A clogged cat will cause loss of power and IIRC reddish manifolds.
But, would definately look for a lean condition and check your timing.
