HOW EASY IS IT TO REPLACE THESE?

I have an 86 IROC 305 TPI, and I just found out that it has an exhaust gasket leak. I wnat to replace the exhaust gaskets, and am wonderin if this is something i should do myself, or let the mechanic handle it. What sort of tools would I need, and would I need a lift or anything. Please give me your opinions.

If you ask me, you should save up a few dollars and put headers on at the same time. Your already gonna have to remove everything. Just put headers back on instead of manifolds. Just my $.02

As far as tools go, you would just need wrenches and rathets. If you dont have a lift a jack and jackstands will do fine. Some PB blaster or wd40 for stubborn old bolts might help too

*Red, Daytona Turbo fiberglass hood, chrome 16x8 IROC wheels
*355 CID
*TPI ported plenum, SLP siamesed runners, Edelbrock high flow intake
*SLP 1 and 3/4 headers with 3 inch catback
*Richmond 3.73, Auburn Posi
*Modded 700-R4, 2800 stall converter
*eibach pro kit and hotchkis sturt tower brace

depending on where you live (snowy climate or not), the exhaust flanges bolts etc may be extremely rusted. If they are, you will be lucky to get them all broken loose, and taken out without breaking them. It is NOT a fun job if they are rusted badly. My suggestion is to go to a local muffler shop, and they would PROBABLY do it for about 20 bucks, money well spent in my book.

thanx for the input. I want to get headers eventually, but not until the summer. If it only costs 20 bucks or so, sounds like a good deal...worth it if it doesnt involve me bustin up by knuckles and cursin all damn day. THe clickin noise its causin is extremely annoying.
