For starters the Borla is not a full Catback system unless you pay a arm and leg for the full one. Also reports of problems installing it on 3rd Gen car.

I have the full SLP system, 1 3/4 headers and the Catback exhaust with a Catco cat. Less expensive then the Borla and again its all STAINLESS STEEL, no rust. The Sound is great also not loud & intrusive. Also the tail pipes give it a look of something different.

Again your choice, but the SLP headers & catback may be the same price as a full Borla system.

Nothing out of the ordinary, when you install Headers. And they are Stainless Steel so you will not need the Jet Hot. Again I vote for the all SLP system for ease of installation.

If your State is even thinking about EMISSION TESTS, I would advise installing Catco Cats for your system. This would save yourself later headaches. These Cats would result in no lost power.

I have had the SLP catback on my car for 7 years now. I still love the sound more than any other exhaust for the thirdgens.

Has a deep rumble and does not drone.

I used the Catco that was Year & Model specific with the 3' in & out. Don't buy the cheap generic one. My opinion.

The P/N for the Catco I purchased is CTO-9118 for $100 +S/H from
Summit. That was two years ago, just check for a better price.

Slp.....

get a Dynomax Ultra Flo, stainless....more flow/power.

SLP= 1 step up from stock
Dynomax Ultra Flo= best perfomance available.

Do a search, I posted the contents of an article about the comparisons of these two mufflers.

I have been running an SLP catback for 8 years now.. it is just getting replaced with a borla setup with my LT1 swap.. though I can't vouch for the sound yet I will say the Borla fit was very good, better than the SLPs..

I agree about Dynomax probably being the best flowing exhaust there is. I just like the sound of Flowmaster better.
