Emissions Question
Emissions Question
Ok, what if all the emissions stuff (A.I.R., Cat, etc.) was removed before you bought the car? Are you required to put it back on? Is there a waiver you can get?

You have emission tests in Tennesee???
WOW!!!
If you don't, don't worry 'bout it.
If you do, and they do a visual, then you're required to have it all on there.
If the car passes without the cat on there, then cool. If not, they'll let you know.
Some states have exempt older cars from the test, or the requirements of having emission equipment on them. You'll have to call your local DMV and find out, or they'll tell you who to call.
Good luck.

Actually, there are no tests in Tennessee that I know of, but my car is currently registered in Florida 'cause we just moved, and I am about to go into the Army, so the registration is probably gonna stay in Florida, at my mom's house.

Yeah, you will have to put emissions back on if you plan on going through emissions and passing all the in-depth tests. You can wait and see where you get stationed, and then register it there if you are stationed in the US. I registered all of my vechicles with my Grandfather in Poulsbo, WA but Im (soon to be anyways) stationed in cali. Hope it all works out (and hope for no emissions!!!)
