Open Headers, safe or not?

Sup guys, just finished building the 355 TPI. I was wondering if it was safe to start the engine with open headers for the 1st time?

I mean, I know it's gonna make a lot of noise and there's a risk that if something goes wrong I can't hear it in time and damage something.

But besides that, is any hardware damage possilbe???

I need to know cause I have installed Flowtech headers and I don't want to buy the crappy a$$ y-pipe that goes with em. So I need to drive the car about 10 minutes from home to the muffler shop...

Any tips or watch outs?

You'll be fine...just watch out for the cops, they may not like the noise.

Even if you get pulled over simply explain that you are going to the exhaust shop and just got done with the car. Most likely he will understand and let you go.
