I want to buy some headers for my L98/Auto GTA. Currently it has no catalytic converter...3" pipe, and a flowmaster muffler. I believe that means no AIR too(?).
Motor has free mods. I am not going to touch the cam, or heads...I do have an aftermarket intake manifold and runners (LPE/Accel). I will put those on and port the plenum some to help match. So my only mods besides that will be headers, and nitrous. The motor has 171K on it, so I'm not going to touch it until it goes...then who knows.

I would like the SLP's 1-5/8". I hear they are good. But that might be too much money for me these days. So what are some good alternatives that will fit my current setup?

Let me also say that I realize you get what you pay for sometimes. I'm reading good things about the TES Edlebrocks. What are the next step down form there in quality headers? They still might be a little out of my budget.
