Exhaust setup

I'm wondering if I will have to modify anything (other than getting a shop to weld the cut out in) to install the following exhaust parts, or if it will all bolt up with no problems.

Jeg's Exhaust Cutout
- Jeg's PN: 555-30751
- 2.5" w/ Flange
- $26.99

McCord Power Plate 2
- http://www.mccordcg.com/mpp/order.htm
- Single 2-1/2" MPP for Cutout - $105 + s/h

Hedman Shorty Camaro Headers
- Jeg's PN: 500-68481
- 82-92 Camaro
- $313.99

I also need it to pass emissions, and I'm hoping this would still do the job. My personal preference, but I think it would be cool to have a completely stock sound, then open the cut-out and scare some unexpecting driver next to me . So, will this setup still allow me to pass inspection/emissions (I don't even remember an under the hood check, but even if they did I'm not sure they would notice much of a difference with those tubes going everywhere) and is it a good idea, or should I find some other headers/idea?

As long as you're running through the cat, with EGR hooked up and everything else in place, I don't see any problems passing an emissions test. I have the Edelbrock shorties on mine..did just fine on emissions. I don't have a cut-out tho..and have no idea what/if any TX or federal law there is about them..but then again...your car will be 20 years old soon...aren't we free to delete all the emissions stuff at that point?

I thought it was anything '76 or older. I know my '76 TA as exempt, I thought after '76 is when they imposed emissions?

Must vary state to state, I know my '76 didn't have to go thru.

It's state dependent I believe. In texas, the following are the inspection range rules:

Which vehicles are required to get an emissions test?
Vehciles:
capable of being powered by gasoline;
from 2 years old to and including 24 years old; and
that are registered in Dallas, Tarrant, Harris & El Paso (beginning May 1, 2002 the counties will expand to include Denton and Collin counties).

New Jersey emissions

In New Jersey, any vehicle model year 1980 or earlier does not have to pass the strict enhanced emissions test, only an idle test.
