i got a y-pipe made when i got my headers. the guy put a 2" with a bend that is further restricting it after the Y, or T as he made it. i know its crap and you don't have to tell me about how bad of a job he did, i know. what i want to know is how bad is it hurting me? would i feel any gains with a good one? the engine is at about 250-300rwhp and makes power to 6000rpm. all of the shops around here tell me its not hurting me much but i know they also don't want to do any work on it because they say thats the only way it can be done and i know its not.

heres a pic of what i have, the picture makes it look bigger than it realy is, i can put my hand all the way around it and have my thumb touch my index finger and i have average size hands.

Ya lol lookin at his mods i really doubt its makeing that at the crank. But he never said it was 4 his car...or did he 2 lazy 2 go back n check.

 

ya, its for mine. people who have driven it have said 300 but i think its a little less. its just a little slower than my brothers 97 with an lt1 and that has more trq and its a 6 spd. and theres nothing wrong with his either, its his second one and its in real good shape. anyway, don't worry about it, thats not what this post is about.
