Got my Hooker LT's put on this morning....
I finally broke down and got the Hooker LT's. I went and passed emissions yesterday and came home to see my Hookers sitting on my front porch. I started on them Yesterday afternoon and got done this morning....all in all, it wasnt too bad, just had to jack up the motor on the driver's side to slide the header in. It was easier to hold the collector straight down towards the ground and slide them upwards. I also had to take off the oil sending unit and filter...just so I didnt tear it up. I went to the exhaust shop this morning and the guy made a custom Y for me out of 3in stainless, and of course it is mandrel bent. From there it goes into a Flowmaster Y collector and out into 3.5in Ipipe, which is also stainless. Im using a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler(3in in/out) into a single 3in hideaway tailpipe. I will get pics sometime in the near future. The headers alone make my car sound so much different....like its got a HUGE cam, but its only a ZZ4 cam......Just thought Id share my experience with the LT's. theres no way Id have a shortie header now.....

Well...I work for a dealership so I used a lift in the service bay.....But, you should be able to slide them in if you have some tall jack stands or ramps.....As far as difficulty putting them on, they weren't too difficult. Ive definitely done harder projects....just take your time and try not to fix things or replace things you dont need to.....Its not that hard....Its really worth the work after youre done....Good Luck.

With my hedman longtubes install was easy. I didnt even have to jack the motor up. Just get the car on ramps and slide in from the bottom.
I wish I had a good shop around that could do exhaust like that. My shops are terrible so Im going back to a single exhaust
