will these fit?

i have an 89 5.7 tpi with a/c will these headers fit? hedman hedders headers 500-68470 Camaro/Firebird 1982-92 265-400 ci, 1-5/8'' Tubes/3'' Collector, Shorty Header

Fit? Yes, they'll bolt to the engine. But, that's about all we can say given what information you've provided.

Should you get them? That depends upon your emissions inspection/testing needs, and how much exhaust fabrication you're willing to endure.

Depending upon your answer to those issues, there may be something else out there that would work better (i.e., legal), and/or cost less by the time you've got it all back together.

well i took off the smog pump and dont plan on putting it back on. so i dont need a.i.r. hook ups

Hedman is a rare brand in that they offer a y-pipe separately from the headers. The extra $100 or so it costs is well worth it.

It may not be the best y-pipe out there, but at least it is better than the stock one, cheaper than what it will most likely cost you to have an exhaust shop fabricate one, and very likely better than the exhaust-shop-fabricated one will be.

im with the kid here on this one... im getting a set of thoes very same headers in about a month. College has drained me, and now that the end is near (friday!!) i can start working and makin some cash money. i sugest getting them coated, and yes, get the y pipe. Why wouldnt they fit? oh well... good luck with the set up!
