The Car was idle for a while before I got it and rust has formed on the exhaust. I have some of that POR 15 and POR 20 (High Temperature) paint. POR 20 has no rust inhibitors and chips easier than POR15. The manufacturers recomendation is to sand blast the exhaust and then paint POR 20 onto it. The problem I have is that I can't get all the pipe out without cutting it. I can only get the manifold section and the piece that connects to it out. The Manufacturers also say that POR 15 can withstand up to 600 Degrees Fahranheit. I am thinking that maybe that would be good enough to paint on the section under the car back to the mufflier( and it is also a rust inhibitor!) . Has anyone ever done this?. What temperature does an exhaust get up to (2.8L V6 engine).

That all sounds great, but most of the time exhaust rusts from the inside out. It's gonna be tough to paint the inside of the pipes.
