Can it? I have access to a welder(and a welder
) and a tubing bender if needed. I know it is likely posible but is it worth it. Have any of you done this?
Can I see some pics of you exhaust set ups? Not duals because that's not what im thinking of at this point. But long tube headers with the single pipe to the muffler.

It would be a real hack job. If you have access to a welder and a pipe bender, i would fab your own Y pipe. Stock Y pipes are absolutely aweful, and if you are going to go to the trouble of longtubes you might as well take the next bottleneck (crappy y pipe) out of the exhaust

Here's what I did with my long tubes. Used the Hedman S extensions.
Off the passenger side there is a straight pipe into a flowmaster y collector, off the driver side there are 2 45* angle pipes into the otehr side of the y collector. The collector hooks right into my Hooker cat-back.

I have hooker long tubes and a y-pipe on my car. I had the y-pipe custom made and I just ran the Intermediate pipe down the center of the car on the passenger's side of the driveshaft. It is a factory int. pipe with the bend for the cat cut off. I have some pictures but I don't know how to post them.
